'Awful Things Happening In Israel Nothing To Do With British Jews' Download YouTube 2024-02-19 (298) < Previous Next > Antisemitism has reached record levels in the UK, with over 4,000 incidents recorded in 2023, according to the Community Security Trust, a Jewish charity. The report highlights a significant increase in anti-Semitic incidents since the October 7th Hamas attacks. Jewish individuals and communities are experiencing online abuse, vilification on university campuses, and even physical assaults. Rabbi Dr Jonathan Romain, the director of Maidenhead Synagogue, emphasizes the distressing nature of the anti-Semitic incidents. He mentions instances of abuse online, vilification of Jewish students on university campuses, and even a recent incident at a theatre in London where someone was hounded out for not standing up for the Palestinian flag. Rabbi Romain asserts that blaming British Jews for events in Israel is as illogical as blaming someone with blue eyes in England for a crime committed in Kansas City. He highlights the need for unity and peaceful coexistence among different faiths in the UK. Video Transcription: anti-semitic hate has reached record levels according to a Jewish charity more than 4,000 anti-semitic incidents were recorded in the UK in 2023 this according to the community security trust this is a report we're going to speak to the person that wrote that later they say this has just absolutely magnified since those October the 7th Hamas attacks well joining us now for more is Rabbi Dr Jonathan raain who's the director of M synagog sorry not your fault guys this is our guest on the last so that's that's wrong that's sorry well it he is here he is here he's down the line that's okay confusing and also and also D Babu a former met police chief superintendent is here Jonathan can we start with with you just to explain to us this report Jeremy's just laid it out there says there's been a significant increase um since the 7th of October um what can you tell us uh well it's deeply upsetting um and it's uh on all sorts of levels and we've seen it um uh certainly online with a lot of abuse we've seen it on University campuses with students Jewish students um being vilified we've seen it the other day in theater the Soho theater in London uh with somebody who didn't want to stand up for the Palestinian flag, not only being booed but handed out of the theater uh and this is really quite extraordinary um and and and just so Un British and so unfair uh and it's really a direct result of what's happening in Israel um and yes of course awful things happening Israel and they're suffering on both sides what that's got to do with British Jews absolutely nothing it's like you know if if the um whoever killed the people in Kansas city was blue-eyed blaming someone blue-eyed here in England well it's as dared and as ridiculous as that but unfortunately it is related because what happens in Israel or uh the Middle East is is often uh seen the British Jews are somehow responsible uh we're not British citizens you know it seems almost uh ridiculous for me to have to explain that British Jews are not responsible what happens in in Israel and yet British Jews are are often seen as responsible um I have to say of course this is not Universal these incidents are awful uh but there's also a lot of very good work and relations going on and in fact immediately after October the 7th when the Hamas attacks took place um I got together with the local Vicor local Imam and we set a prayer for peace it didn't change the world but it gave a very clear signal to our own congregations here in the UK that whatever is happening over in the Middle East we are not going to import here and it also emphasize that what's going on in the Middle East is a political problem it's not a religious problem and therefore there is absolutely no reason why Jews Muslims Christians Hindus everybody else cannot go get on uh together here as well can you tell us that's sort of The Wider political context that is then having very real impacts on people in Britain we're seeing reports of violent anti-Semitic assaults um damage and desecration of Jewish property I mean what have you seen people that you know um well all of the above everything you said unfortunately is true um I personally and curiously enough haven't seen it on an everyday basis because the where I live in Maiden head has actually been an oasis of um of calm and that's not an accent it's because of the really good Interfaith relations we've established in the last 30 40 years but that's not the story elsewhere in Britain and certainly there are places in London in Manchester where it's really very upsetting where Jewish children particularly are frightened to go to school if they go to a Jewish Day School because they're going to be um shouted at or bullied on the bus or because there's people outside the schools um holding placards or Screaming abuse again people taking out on Jewish children in Britain uh for what's happening over uh the other side of the mediteran can I cut to the chase really glad to have you on um I I asked a question last hour and I'd love to ask it of you and I will say again cu no doubt certain people will go that's not the right thing to say I think any form of racism is abhorent I understand what you're saying about what's happening in terms of The Wider conflict and nobody wants to see what's happening in in uh Gaza right now we are talking about anti-semitic crime on the streets of the United Kingdom amongst and for and against Jewish people what I don't understand my friend is this why is there not the level of abhorrence about anti-jewish sentiment as there is against anti- well racism against other races colors and Creeds I've never understood that maybe I'm missing the point but why are Jews an easier Target why are they not looked upon in the same way or those sorts of crimes or hatred or whatever that's what I've never got can you try and explain that to me and help me out uh well unfortunately your spot on and it is inex inexplicable because it's totally illogical I mean you are right anti-Semitism is a form of racism in fact it is racism it happens to be racism against people of Faith rather than people of color um uh and it is you know anybody who would say I'm Against Racism uh should not be anti-semitic because the two are absolutely the same unfortunately in the world we live in somehow it's okay uh to be totally PC about gender um race color whatever but also you can be anti-semitic it's it's wrong it's ridiculous it shouldn't happen and and the point you make anti-Semitism is racism is just as abhorrent and should not be allowed um and yet somehow it seems to slip through the net um and and Je seem to be a Target in a way that um anybody else uh would would would not would it would it be called out as totally wrong it's a mystery to us frankly and to the victims of of it we really don't understand why and why people who are otherwise very liberal very woke um very PC it happens and they find themselves they're very blinker I don't see any of the PC World who quite rightly and I'll say this I don't see any of the people who are quite rightly underlined saying that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is appalling what's happening out there I don't see any of those people jumping up and down saying what's happening to British Jews in this country is wrong that's just a personal opinion we have it but I want to ask you one further question if I can before we bring D in there is a condemnation an increasing condemnation across the world from from America from Cameron this morning we hear Australia New Zealand and other countries saying netu this is this is appalling there's a a million displaced Palestinians in Gaza they've gone South now you're going to bomb there can you give me your take on this anti-Semitism one side I accept that what's your view on what's going on out there Jonathan well you're quite right to say they are one side and the other side they are totally unrelated and there are a lot of Jews who are also equally appalled by what's happening in Gaza I mean Palestinian suffering is human suffering is equally unacceptable and and it's not just me there are other rabbis other Jews in fact Israelis themselves and remember netanyahu's government was fiercely opposed by 50% of the Israeli electorate when he at the time um Israel is not a United uh Nation when they United against Hamas United against what happened against on October the 7th but there are a lot of Jews a lot of Israelis who are really very very upset about what's happening in Gaza we don't think it's right we don't think it's a long-term solution and we want to find a more diplomatic Way Forward there's no doubt about that um and but and here's the important point it's quite legitimate to be against the policies of the Israeli government be against um what Netanyahu is doing and yet yet um you can still support the state of Israel support Jewish people and certainly not be anti-semitic or or attack Jews here in Britain thank you of course listening to that is D Babu former met Chief superintendent D um why is it that we have an incident like on the 7th of October and then particularly for the Jewish Community they are then more at risk of things like damage to their property violent assaults yeah I it'san shocking and and I think there's not a single word I would disagree with what John uh Dr Jonathan has said said yeah uh I think we need we need to very very be very very clear we don't need to conflate being Jewish with the Israel State uh and I think lots of people will be concerned about what Israel are doing in Gaza but that's very very different from treating somebody who's Jewish and holding them responsible so I think we need to be very very clear and anti-Semitism is racism you know we should be very very clear why do you think D and and I'm really glad you said that and it's one of those subjects we were talking about it yesterday w't we Ros you well we can't talk about that why do you think that anti-Semitism which you accept is R jism Jonathan does all of us do is not I don't know the Right Way D to put this is not on the same level does not upset those who apparently get upset quite rightly by those things for all the people who absolutely understand that racism is wrong why do the PC bade seemingly not think that anti-Semitism is equally abhorent I don't get it I mean I don't know the reason but I think what happens is People conflate Israel yeah with Judaism and I think that i' I've Got Friends uh who who had children in Israel who were very very worried about what was happening on October the 7th they didn't know couldn't get hold of their children so and extremely worried um so I think we need to understand that there are many many Jewish people who are equally concerned as as Muslim people as Christian people about what's happening in Gaza uh what what we do have is almost without exception in fact there are no exceptions whenever there's a a conflict in the Middle East we have a rise in anti-Semitism actually we also have a rise in anti-muslim crime as well so so what we need to be doing is ensure that people understand there is a clear distinction between Israel and The Wider Jewish community and The Wider Jewish Community some will support Israel many people won't many of my my friends won't support them you said we need to I think we know there's a clear distinction how do you reassure the Jewish Community from a policing perspective which is obviously why you're here and that they will be looked after and and not feel scared things like going to school or you know not getting abused on the on the bus we've heard school children having an awful situation or not having their businesses you know graffitied or having thrown paint all over them um you're dealing with the consequences but how do we deal with the cause well I think what's happened is that there's been across the whole of the country and I think this is where the the government have stepped forward in terms of Jewish buildings so synagogues uh Jewish schools they are working with local authorities and uh other partners to ensure that there are additional uh patrols to to protect those children so there's a lot it's a very very comprehensive certainly when I was in the police we were Whenever there was a conflict we knew that there would be tensions and just listening to the rabbi there it's very very clear the the Interfaith work that goes on is very very good to hear and and and I think that Interfaith work happens all the time across lots of different areas and I think we and the police have valuable role to play in facilitating that working with the different communities and I think um I think what the rabbi said there was that we have very very good Interfaith relationships if you don't have those then then sometimes that whole situation can be much worse quick question before you go could the police be stronger on anti-Semitism in in the communities well Jeremy we've had this conversation many times there's been a massive reduction in placing a quarter of all the police of less than 5 years experience if we had more police would it make a difference I think the police would be able to do things more effectively if there was more resources I know resources a very very easy subject to bring up but it's the inexperience coupled with the lack of resources thank you D thank you very much

The real question today is: what would you do when you are raped and burned? Download YouTube 2023-12-18 (217) < Previous Next > I met families of hostages in Brussels. They told me about life in a kibbutz. Before October 7, they had a life, indeed. Since then, it has become hell because their loved ones were kidnapped or killed in the most barbaric way. Intentionally massacred and never to return. Because they are Jews. Hunted like animals, especially the women. And slaughtered as if they were nothing. Even animals have rights today Some know that their loved ones are in Gaza. A woman told me about her kidnapped sister. How do you go on with your life? Imagine yourself in their place. That your house was entered, the place you call home. And this kidnapped girl, what do you think Hamas is doing to her now? But it seems this violence leaves the world so indifferent. No one wants war But whatever we demand of the Israelis, let us first put ourselves in their place. Let’s always remember the intention. The clear intention to massacre someone because they are Jewish. Where is the world, where is Europe going if such hatred and indifference is permitted? Where is the United Nations going, whose role was to be the beacon of the world? The cowardice of keeping silent because the women who were killed are Jewish. Where are we going when so many of our top politicians tolerate the actions of an Islamic terrorist group and build their careers on the failure of integration in our countries? An attitude that brings this danger and anti-Semitism to our doorstep? Yes, we need a two-state solution. Yes, a life without war is better. But the real question today is: what would you do when you are raped and burned? Think of your loved ones with whom you will soon be spending Christmas. Would you leave them in Gaza? In the hands of Hamas? I hope and wish that we never have to answer that question. Assita Video Transcription:

Video Transcription: New rule for 2024. America has to go back on its meds. You know, over the holidays, I saw a lot of people, and I asked them all the same two questions. One, have you seen Woody Harrelson? He's my ride. And two, if I said, let's make 2024 the year of blank, what would you say? I was surprised they all said the same thing. Sanity. Let's make this the year of sanity. Everybody thinks we've gone bonkers. Should it have been difficult when presidents of elite collegeswere asked if it's okay to call for the genocide of Jews, and they couldn't just say "fuck no"? Can't anybody just say, "fuck no" anymore? A terrorist organization in the Middle east that treats women like slaves invaded Israel last October and shot hundreds of young people at a music festival in the desert. And now America streets are full of parades in support of the shooters, led by the exact kind of people who would be at a music festival in the desert. That's the literal standard for involuntary commitment when you're a danger to yourself. I mean, the NRA are bad, but after a school shooting, they don't march against schools. Thank you. One guy. The far left's new crush is the Houthis. Up until a week ago, everyone on TikTok thought a Houthi was what you get when someone hits your elbow. "You gave me a Houthi." And the Houthi slogan is, God is great. Death to the US, death to Israel, curse the Jews, and victory for Islam. "Like", "comment" and "subscribe". So, naturally, when the college kids heard that slogan, they said, please stop. You had me. A death to the US. insane! Insane that we're cheering for the terrorists. Now. It's also insane to think that this would ever come out well. Right? The battle for the soul of this country isn't right or left. It's normal versus crazy.

That "small number" is reportedly $300M, friends! SOME “FUN” FACTS: Qatar is the largest funder of US colleges since 9/11 – yes, the same Qatar heavily funding the HAMAS terror organization. Qatar has given more than $5BN to colleges in the US - a level of funding that gives the right to install professorships. A study in 2020 found a direct correlation between Qatar giving money to colleges and active pro-Palestinian groups on those campuses. If you asked yourself where Antisemitism on campuses comes from, here's the answer: US colleges prefer money over values, over leadership, over student safety, over the future of America. The BBC took its time firing the employee, and concerns have been raised about a culture of bias and antisemitism within the organization. Jewish employees have expressed fear and discomfort working at the BBC, and there are allegations of biased reporting on Israel's conflict with Hamas. Stephen Silverman from the Campaign Against Antisemitism, and former BBC producer John Mair, both joined Kevin O'Sullivan and Alex Phillips on CrossTalk. Video Transcription: scheduler Dawn quavas referred to Jews as Nazis described the Holocaust as a a hoax and called white people parasites it comes as Jewish employees at the corporation say it is a grim and frightening time to work there joining us now is Stefan Silverman director of Investigations and enforcement at the campaign against anti-Semitism and former BBC producer John Mayor thanks both of you uh for joining us uh let's go to you first Stephen, I thought I mean this this woman daor Quaver I mean what she was putting out on social media just disgusting racism I mean extraordinary that she should ever have been there in the first place in fairness to the BBC they didn't muck around three or four days and they sacked her uh so she's a racist uh with a few of these ludicrous tropes about Jewish people and white people she's an equal opportunity hater uh we're the virus Jewish people are Nazis and so on absolute nonsense but what really worried me here Stephen was that a Jewish employee at the BBC said in response to Dawn the Dawn quava Saga bearing in mind this is the corporation that refuses to call Hamas terrorists and has been accused of a definite uh favorable slant towards uh against Israel uh uh this employee said that this is a grim and frightening time to work at the BBC that's extraordinary isn't it it is extraordinary and and it comes on the back of British Jews having long been made to feel uncomfortable by their perception of bias in the BBC's coverage of matters relating to Israel since the atrocity that was committed by Hamas on 7th of October uh that plaster has been ripped off the wound it's become manifestly clear that the BBC has an Institutional problem with Jews and Jewish issues and you know if you go back to last last November Danny Cohen who is a former director of BBC television um made the statement that the BBC um was institutionally anti-semitic now the problem is manifesting itself in three separate ways firstly firstly there has been a constant drip of BBC employees openly engaging in deeply anti-semitic rhetoric D Quaver is just the most recent in an ignominious list and if people want to see more they can look them up on on our website secondly there is a very clear bias in in the BBC's reporting of Israel's war against Hamas in which Israel is being painted as a brutal aggressor with complete disregard for the fact that this is a war that Israel is fighting in order to defend its citizens against the repeat of October the 7th the BBC's reporting is actually inflaming anti-Semitism on the streets and then finally the BBC has a real problem with its refusal to take action against high-profile employees who use their celebrity to promote biased views to a vast social media following John I'm I'm going to come to you now um I mean the talk of BBC bias that continues to haunt the BBC and I can well imagine as with all and sunry that gets sucked into the culture wars and turned into a binary choice that most UK news rooms probably do very much lean in One Direction that might make somebody feel that if they were Jewish somewhat unwelcome or at least disqui by conversations they hear at the water cooler but I think perhaps one of the biggest problems with the BBC I'm reading some of these reports of some of the views being openly expressed by staff working in international newsrooms what should the BBC be doing about this? the charge sheet isn't it from from my friend on the other side um I feel like I'm intruded on the private grief here after after the r I've just witnessed but however look the system worked didn't it the BBC has 22,000 employees is some of them will be loonies some of them will be loonies to go on to Facebook this woman went onto Facebook and you know what she got caught up at the knees so fox has been shot has been shot there um I would advise you to actually read the guardian today there's rather good analytical piece about the BBC's CNN's coverage of um of the Gaza War I mean it does seem to me that there was a strong journalistic question to be asked about reporting o o of the Gaza War it's all been seen from the side of Israel Israel has not allowed any reporters into Gaza now that is just plain disgusting you know you can't have a war in which only one side is reporting so and where where is the BBC bias you know when when when the culture sector appeared the other day on Good Morning Britain was asked bias she she on Sky News she she was lost for word so John are you saying that the BBC doesn't have a problem here John John John are you saying that the BBC does doesn't have a problem here in terms of it slant against I don't know have a problem I don't know does the BBC have an anti-Semitism problem I don't think so you know somebody I mean I think Danny Danny Cohen has become a "Rent to go" he really has he he pops up.. Dan Cohen's a "Rent to go" former head ATC1 a Jewish man he is a "Rent to go" stand by that you're G to call him a "rent to go" I am yes really really in what way is he a "Rent to go"? look as far as I can see from the reporting of of the Gaza War it's been straight down the line and SE all right John thank you let's go back to you Stephen this is just outrageous nonsense isn't it I agree it's absolutely Through the Looking Glass to say that this war is being reported from Israel's point of view look at what happened with the um reported bonding Hospital early on in this conflict that was completely inaccurate uh the BBC rushed to judgment and then when Jeremy boen was interviewed about it he admitted it was wrong and he said he absolutely had no regrets so BBC had to issue another apolog apology apologize reported that Israel that the IDF was deliberately targeting Medics look the BBC uses her stats with minimal qualification all it does is it says that stop talking over John all BC ever does is reports stats as um from the Hamas ran Ministry of Health that that goes no way to actually explaining what those statistics represent it doesn't explain when it reports on the number of fatalities that that number includes around 10,000 Hamas terrorists that Israel has murdered sorry has has killed it doesn't include um the fact that a very large number of rockets directed at Israel from Gaza misfire Landing Gaza killing gazans and those numbers are included in the fatality statistics it doesn't include the fact that Hamas kills gazan civilians for resisting them or for trying to follow Israel's instructions to leave an area that is about to be targeted the BBC just takes her masses position on these things without qualifying it properly and it paints Israel as an aggressor in a war in which Israel is trying to defend itself against a genocidal level of anti-Semitism that has not been seen since the Second World War uh Stephen and John thank you very much we're gonna have to move on thank you John thank you to Stephen

The full story of Israel from past to present. Download YouTube 2023-11-09 (#101) < Previous Next > The story of Israel. Judaism has been here for 5000 years. Jews consist of a variety of people, black, white, brown, religious, secular, and Israel is home to non-Jews, Christians, Muslims, Druze, Bedouins, Greek Orthodox, but Jews have been on the land since biblical times. Israelis love life and might be a bit different in some ways, but they're people just like anyone else. Although Israelis argue a lot and have many disagreements, Israel is the Jewish nation and has a strong core, bonded together by common values that haven't changed for thousands of years. Many, such as Palestinians, Iran, fanatical jihadists, conspiracytheorists and anti-Semites hate Israel. Why? Because Israelis are different? Smart? Independent? Know how to survive? Despite all the persecution throughout history, Jews are still standing, changing the world for the better. One of the conspiracy theories is that Jews own the world. They don't. There are only 16 million Jews in the world! Maybe the success of Jews is seen as a threat rather than an asset? Israel has a lot of ruthless, barbaric enemies but knows how to defend itself, and will continue to survive, just as those enemies who wish the Jews harm will fade away. Although Jews are scattered all over the world and have internal squabbles, the Jews always manage to reach for the light and come together. The Jews will never apoloize for surviving, will always strive for good and remain as ONE! Video Transcription: We're a small nation, this country of Israel, and we've been around for over 5000 years. We're made up of all sorts of Jewish people. Black, white, brown, religious, secular, liberal. We're also home to many who aren't Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Jews, Bedouin, Greek Orthodox and more. But Jews have been on the land since biblical times. Many of us came back in the last hundred years. Some arrived just yesterday and some are coming tomorrow. We are men, women and children. We love life. We're human. We might be a little different in some ways, like all nations are, but we're people just like anyone else. We're an assorted bunch. We don't always agree on everything. In fact, we argue a lot. Some see things this way, some the other. We don't always see eye to eye. But in Israel, we are the Jewish nation. Fractured and divided as it may seem, we are one at our core and it's a strong core. While sometimes we feel separate from each other, we're bonded together through our heritage and values that haven't really changed for thousands of years. A lot of people out there don't like us. Right now, it's a lot of Palestinians, the Iranian government, any people led by fanatical jihadists or remnants of Arab leaders who preached Jew hatred and whose legacy of hate has continued. Also assorted conspiracy theorists and yes, bona fide antisemites. Maybe it's because we're different. Can't be put in a box or smart or independent because we know exactly who we are. Maybe it's because we've got a little bit of chutzpah. Maybe because we know how to survive. And despite so many murdered and persecuted for thousands of years and 6 million of us who were slaughtered by the Nazis in the Second World War, we are still standing. Not only standing, but thriving, changing the world for the better, with technology, medicine, art, science, sports, you name it. Maybe people don't like us because they envy our heritage. Maybe because they think we run the world. We don't. Remember conspiracy theorists. Although there are only 16 million of us in the world. Maybe they see our success as a threat rather than an asset. Who knows why? We're too busy doing what we do to give it too much attention. But sometimes we have to give the hatred our attention because we've got a lot of enemies. Many are ruthless, barbaric, but we know how to defend ourselves well and we know when to attack too well. Despite unimaginable losses and devastating catastrophes to this day, we survive. And we always have. As we always will, as our enemies who wish us harm fade away in time. One more thing, though we're a physical land of Israel, we are also the people of Israel. And we don't only live here, we're scattered around the world. Here, here and here, here and here and here. No matter where we are, no matter what divides us in the moment, no matter the internal squabbles we have, like all people have, we are one, even when we can't see it, we are one, and we have kind, compassionate people in the world who truly see the good in us. And when life is hard, impossible, incomprehensible, confusing, scary and dark, somehow we reach to the light and come together. We're a small nation, this country of Israel and the Jewish people. But we will never apologize for surviving. We will always strive for good, and we shall remain as one.

Liberalism is about principles, not death charts! Download YouTube 2023-11-04 (#084) < Previous Next > Liberalism is about principles, not death charts. Ron Harnevo, an Israeli tech entrepreneur who joined the fight for Israeli democracy that began in January 2023, speaks of liberalism. Once a year, about 70,000 meet in LIsbon to celebrate digital optimism at the biggest tech conference in Europe, Web Summit. The participants, who include internet entrepreneurs, big tech executives, celebrities and influencers feel they can solve any problem in the world as long as investors pay. The co-founder and Ceo of Web Summit s Paddy Cosgrave, a well-educated, tech savvy Irishman, a citizen of the world who defines himself as the symbol of liberalism. On October 7th, when Israelis were being massacred, Paddy posted a chart on Twitter that consisted of a 15 year comparison of Israeli and Palestinian casualties. Not a word of shock or grief about the murderous acts, just a contest of deaths. For the next 6 days, he continued to post criticism of Israel and on October 13th, he posted a Tweet blaming all Western governments for not condemning Israel who, he claimed, was committing war crimes. Israel is no less liberal than Paddy or Greta but Harnevo says that the Israelis who attended Web Summit in droves will never do so again after emerging from the biggest genocide in modern history. Israel was founded on the basis of "never again!" will Jews be slaughtered for being Jews. Paddy Cosgrave, what happened on October 7th was not just another data point on your chart! The perpetrators were not people fighting for their freedom! They came with one mission: to kill, burn, rape, mutilate, desecrate, extinguish everyone they came across. They committed crimes against humanity, committed genocide in the land of "never again". Charts? In World War II, 4.2 million Germans died vs 300,000 Americans and 357,000 British. Data? Paddy was in Qatar when he Tweeted his data. Qatar, where Paddy's next conference wi ll take place, is a country that despises its LGBT community, discriminates against women and invests billions in the best Universities in America. Paddy's investors are also the biggest investors in Hamas. We tend to identify with the underdog; but what happens when the underdog commits genocide and declares it will do it again? October 7th was not another day in a conflict and Israel must go after the perpetrators of the massacre, otherwise it has no right to exist. Liberalism is about principles, not death charts. You're not fighting for freedom by supporting genocide! Video Transcription: Um web Summit is tech utopia. Once a year, over 70,000 people gather to celebrate digital optimism at the biggest tech conference in Europe. Iv'e been there, is awesome. Privileged Internet entrepreneurs, big tech executives, celebrities, influencers. We attend panels and keynotes talk about innovation at sensitive dinners. You're going it. As long as investors throw money at us, we can solve any problem in the world. We feel like the chosen ones. The co founder and CEO of Web, Samit, is Patty Cosgrove. He's Irish, tech savvy, well educated. 170 countries will pass through the door. A global citizen of the world. In his own eyes, Patty is the definition of liberalism. So on October 7, while we Israelis were still being massacred, patty went on Twitter and posted a chart. A 15 year comparison of casualties. Israelis on one hand, Palestinians on the other. No word of grief, no shock about murderous acts, just a contest of deaths. He was just using data. For six days, he kept on reposting criticism about Israel. But then, on October 13, another tweet, this time blaming all Western governments for not condemning Israel for committing alleged work crimes. Patty pointed his pseudo liberal finger at us. My name is Ron Harnigan. I'm a tech entrepreneur. Like thousands of others here in Israel, they call us the startup nation. In the last seven months, we joined the fight for Israel's democracy. We marched the streets fighting for human rights, LGBT rights, minorities, women. We're not less liberal than Patty or Greta or any other AOC out there. We attended Web Summit in droves, and we will never do it again. Fortunately, many brave tech leaders and tech companies from all over the world joined us. The state of Israel emerged from the biggest genocide in modern history. It was founded on a clear principle that the world shared with us for the last 75 years. Never again never again will Jews be slaughtered just for being Jews. It's the glue that keeps us together. You see, Patty, what happened on October 7 was not another data point on your fucking chart. It was something else, unbearable. These were not people fighting for their freedom. At 06:29, a.m. 3000 heavily armed Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israel with only one mission to kill, burn, extinguish every soul they met on their way. They entered their homes, shot the elderly, women, babies. They broke into a rape party. I'm sure you've been to some paddock. They killed hundreds of beautiful souls, raped women, kidnapped the rest. 80% of the bodies were found mutilated, raped, burnt. Desecrated crimes against Steve Maddox was a genocide of Jews, the biggest one since 1945 in the land of never again. Want to talk about charts? Here's one. In World War II, 4.2 million Germans died versus 300,000 Americans and 357,000 British. Data. October 7. When Daddy tweeted his data, he was in Qatar. His next conference takes place there in February. Country that despises its LGBT community, discriminates against women, owning the best football clubs in Europe and spends billions on the best universities in America. Patty's New investors are also the biggest investors in Hamas. They live there, next to his Sotoliberal summit venue. You see, we all tend to fall into the same habit based on the narrative we want to stand behind. We fight climate change or Wall Street, or colonialism. We identify with the underdog. It makes us feel right. But what happens when the underdog commits genocide? And what happens when you realize that the underdog would do it again on a mass scale, if they only could? October 7 was not another day in the conflict. If we Israelis will not go after the people who killed 1500 of our brothers and sisters, then we have no right to exist. Liberalism is about principles, not destroy. You're not fighting for freedom by supporting genocide. We ask you to tell the difference. Please do the right thing. Stand with Israel.
